The Ladbrokes .com World Darts Championship in 2010 were of 18 December 2009 to 3 January 2010 in London held. This world championship was organized by the PDC for the 17th time and took place for the third time in a row in the Alexandra Palace . The prize money of £ 1,000,000 and the winner's prize of £ 200,000 each set new records.

Number 1 seeded Englishman , defending champion and record world champion Phil Taylor successfully defended his title when he beat Australian Simon Whitlock 7-3 in the final . As in the previous year, “The Power” secured its 15th world title with just four lost sets.

Others

On December 28th, 2009 Raymond van Barneveld threw a " 9-darter " for the second time in the history of the PDC World Darts Championship when he won the 2nd round against Brendan Dolan . He received a bonus of £ 25,000.
