Kevin Painter (born July 12, 1967 in Billericay , Essex ) is an English darts player . He plays in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) , where he was in the 2004 World Championship final against Phil Taylor . His nickname is "The Artist". His theme song is I Predict A Riot by the Kaiser Chiefs .

In 2011 he succeeded in winning a major tournament for the first time at the Players Championship Finals with a 13: 9 final win over Welshman Mark Webster . In 2012 he made his debut in the Premier League Darts .

Painter now lives in Rugby , Warwickshire .
