Brendan Dolan (born August 2, 1973 in Belcoo , County Fermanagh ) is a Northern Irish darts player .

On October 8, 2011 Dolan managed the first nine dart finish against James Wade at the World Grand Prix in the double-in - double-out variant . He has been nicknamed "The Historymaker" ever since. In this tournament Dolan also reached the final of a major tournament for the first time. In 2012 Brendan Dolan made it to the semi-finals of the European Darts Championship . There he lost to Wes Newton after defeating Justin Pipe , Andree Welge and Phil Taylor . Between 2013 and 2014 he was able to achieve five Pro Tour victories within 12 months and thus play his way into the top 10 of the PDC Order of Merit . However, there were no further successes and he gradually lost positions again. Only two semi-finals at the World Cup of Darts in 2014 and 2016 followed.

After a long form low, Brendan Dolan was only able to stabilize again in 2018 and at the end of the year, reaching the quarter-finals at the PDC World Darts Championship 2019 , achieved success. Dolan then won a Pro Tour tournament after five years of abstinence. In October 2019 he even managed to repeat this victory, so that he could celebrate his seventh PDC Players Championship win.
