The Skol World Darts Championship 2000 took place from December 28, 2000 to January 4, 2000 in Purfleet . This world championship was organized by the PDC for the 7th time and took place in the Circus Tavern again, as in previous years .

The defending champion was Phil Taylor , who won the last five of the six world championships. In the final he met Dennis Priestley , Taylor defeated Priestley 7-3 sets.

Tournament course

The field of participants consisted of a total of 32 players from 6 different countries. The game was played in a knockout system . The best 16 players of the PDC Order of Merit were set.
