Peter Manley (born March 7, 1962 in Cheam , London ) is an English darts player in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). His nickname is "One Dart" as he was known for hitting doubles (see darts ) with the first dart .

Career

Manley achieved inglorious notoriety when he refused to shake hands with Phil Taylor after losing 7-0 in the 2002 World Championship Final. This resulted in his being booed by fans on stage for many years. It was not until 2005, when he "Is This the Way to Amarillo" by Tony Christie elected as a new song for his performances, the audience responded positively. In addition, the song apparently helps him to appear more relaxed.

To date (2008) Manley has only won one major tournament with the PDC, the Las Vegas Desert Classic in 2003. He is therefore said to have not reached his full potential. In the years 2012-2017 he tried to qualify for a PDC Tour Card, which was unsuccessful.

Manley is currently no longer listed in the Order of Merit .
