Dean Winstanley (born February 10, 1981 in Swinton , Rotherham ) is an English darts player .

Career

His first success was winning the Bulls German Open in Bochum in 2010 . After a few other tournament successes, he reached the final of the BDO World Championship in January 2011 , where he lost to Martin Adams 7: 5 despite temporarily leading (4: 3 and 5: 4). After moving to PDC in 2012, he threw a nine-darter on his World Cup debut in 2013 .

His nickname is "Over the Top".
