Jamie Lewis (born November 8, 1991 in Carmarthen ) is a Welsh darts player .

Career

BDO: 2009-2011

Jamie Lewis began his career in the British Darts Organization . His greatest success there was getting into the last 24 of the 2010 World Masters .

PDC: since 2011

In 2011 he switched to the PDC . He made his TV debut there at the UK Open 2012 , where he was eliminated in round 2. In 2014 he qualified for the PDC World Championship for the first time . He lost 3-0 to Raymond van Barneveld in round 1 . A year later he was defeated again in the first round, this time 3-1 against James Wade . Through numerous good appearances on the ProTour , such as B. reaching the semi-finals at the Gibraltar Darts Trophy 2015, he qualified for the World Matchplay 2015 . He met Justin Pipe there in the first round . At the PDC World Darts Championship 2018 Lewis surprisingly defeated Peter Wright in the 2nd round and made it to the semifinals, where he was defeated by Phil Taylor .
