The German Darts Open 2018 is a ranking tournament in darts and was organized from April 13th to 15th, 2018 by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). It was the third event of the European Darts Tour 2018 , which will be carried out as part of the Pro Tour 2018 . The venue was the Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken for the second time .

The title was secured by the German Max Hopp , who prevailed in the final with 8: 7 legs against the Englishman Michael Smith .

format

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode was best of 11 legs in the first rounds , best of 13 legs in the semi-finals and best of 15 legs in the final . Each leg was played in double-out mode.

The tournament totaled £ 135,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
