Luke Humphries (born February 11, 1995 in Newbury ) is an English darts player who is currently under contract with the PDC .

Career

Humphries won five events of the PDC Development Tour 2017 and as the best player of the Development Tour earned a Tourcard for the PDC Pro Tour 2018 and 2019. At the same time, he qualified for the first time for the World Championship, where he was eliminated in the preliminary round.

At the PDC World Darts Championship 2019 he defeated the reigning world champion Rob Cross after victories over Stephen Bunting and Dimitri Van den Bergh in the round of 16 , in the quarter-finals he lost to Michael Smith .

In November 2019 Humphries won the PDC World Youth Championship , where he prevailed 6-0 in the final against the Czech Adam Gawlas .
