PDC Pro Tour 2017

The PDC Pro Tour 2017 includes a series of PDC darts tournaments , most of which are not broadcast on TV. In 2017 there will be 22 Players Championships , six UK Open Qualifiers and twelve European Tour events for the professionals . A total of 40 tournaments are played. These tournaments are also taken into account when calculating the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit .

PDC Pro Tour Card

In order to be able to play the PDC Pro Tour , one must have a tour card that is valid for two years. This entitles the holder to participate in all Pro Tour tournaments.

A total of 128 tour cards are awarded:

  • (64) - Top 64 of the PDC Order of Merit after the PDC World Championship 2017
  • (28) - 28 of 34 qualifiers of the PDC Qualifying School 2016 who were not already in the top 64 of the Order of Merit.
  • (2) - The two best players of the PDC Challenge Tour 2016 ( Rob Cross and Ryan Searle )
  • (2) - The two best players of the PDC Development Tour 2016 ( Dean Reynolds and Ross Twell )
  • (2) - The two best players of the PDC Challenge Tour 2015 ( Jan Dekker 1 and Richie Corner)
  • (2) - The two best players of the PDC Development Tour 2015 (Mike de Decker and Bradley Kirk 2 )
  • (1) - The winner of the Scandinavian Order of Merit ( Kim Viljanen )
  • (16) - The 16 qualifiers of the PDC Qualifying School 2016
  • (14) - The top 14 of the Q-School Order of Merit
1Dekker was already in the top 64 of the PDC Order of Merit, so Shaun Griffiths got a card.
2Kirk returned his card and Berry van Peer got it.

The PDC Qualifying School 2017 will be played from January 19th to 22nd, 2017.

Professional Darts Corporation Baltic & Nordic Pro Tour

The former Scandinavia Pro Tour was renamed Professional Darts Corporation Baltic & Nordic Pro Tour in 2017. The first two of the rankings of this tour will qualify for the preliminary round of the 2018 World Cup.

Australian Grand Prix Tour

All players from Oceania , New Zealand and Australia are eligible to play . The winner of the Grand Prix Tour automatically receives a starting place in the preliminary round for the PDC World Championship 2018 .

Eurasia Darts Corporation (EADC) Pro Tour

The EADC Pro Tour includes six tournaments as well as a final event as part of the World Championship International Qualifier. Players from Eastern Europe , Southeastern Europe and the Middle East are eligible to play . The winner of the final tournament receives a starting place for the PDC World Championship 2018 .

PDPA World Championship Qualifier

The event is a tournament for direct qualification for the PDC World Championship 2018 . The winner starts in the 1st round. The finalist and the winner of the game for third place will receive a place in the preliminary round. Participation is open to all players who are associate members, i.e. members of the PDPA .
