Maik Langendorf (born March 11, 1972 ) is an Austrian darts player .

Career

Langendorf started darts in 2004 and was involved in steel and e-darts, in which he was able to achieve many successes. In 2005 he was able to win the NDA World Championship , a year later he reached the semifinals at the Meet The Power II tournament in Geiselwind, which narrowly missed participation in the 2006 PDC World Darts Championship .

Since then, Langendorf has taken part in the PDC Europe tournaments. In 2010 he qualified as the second best Austrian together with Mensur Suljović for the World Cup of Darts . Here they were able to beat the Danish and Northern Irish selections, among others. So they got into the group stage, where they ended up in last place and were eliminated.

In 2012 Langendorf was able to qualify twice for an event on the European Tour . At the end of the year he made it to the final in a qualifying tournament for the world championship, where he failed against the German Max Hopp . Again he was able to qualify for the World Cup of Darts in 2013 with Mensur Suljović , where the tournament was over for both of them in round one. Langendorf was also able to qualify for the UK Open 2013 , but was only among the best 128.

He was also there at the first edition of the Super League Darts and immediately reached the final, where he again lost the World Cup ticket to Max Hopp. The year 2013 was otherwise quite successful for Langendorf: He was able to qualify for five European Tour tournaments, once he made it to the second round.

In 2014 he could not qualify for any tournaments on the European Tour and in the Super League Darts he did not get beyond the group stage. After this unsuccessful year, better results followed in 2015, again on the European Tour, where he participated three times and made it into the last 32 twice. He was also in the final of the Super League Darts , where he lost to René Eidams and again failed to qualify for a world championship. In 2017 he was then surprisingly able to secure a Tour Card for 2017 and 2018, which he had to surrender again in 2018. He then significantly reduced his participation in PDC tournaments and concentrated on his job.
