The Super League Darts 2014 (officially Bull's Super League Darts Germany 2014 ) was a qualification tournament which was organized for the second time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). It was used to determine a German participant in the PDC World Darts Championship 2015 .

The tournament began on January 11, 2014 with the first day of play and ended on November 22, 2014 with the play-offs.

Max Hopp secured the victory , who beat Sascha Stein with 10: 8-legs in the final.

qualification

16 players took part in the second edition of the Super League Darts, 11 of whom qualified in the previous season. Tomas Seyler withdrew his participation, which is why a wild card was given to Michael Hurtz . The remaining 4 places were awarded by the Super League Qualifier. The qualification tournament took place on January 10, 2014 in Münster .

Preliminary round

The preliminary round matches will be played on a total of 5 tournament weekends. Every tournament weekend is played in the mode everyone against everyone . Every win brings one point. The 8 best players qualify for the play-offs at the end of the preliminary round. The players in places 15 and 16 will be relegated from the Super League. The player in 14th place can compete again in the Super League Qualifier. The preliminary round games are played in Best of Legs mode and the double-out variant . The first player to throw exactly 501 points wins a leg . The last throw of a leg must be on a double square. The game mode is best of 11 legs .

    The eight remaining players were divided into two groups based on their position in the table, in which everyone plays against everyone. The game mode was again best of 11 legs . The first and second in the group then played the two finalists in a semi-final with the best of 15 legs mode . The final was played in the best of 19 legs mode.

    Results at the World Cup

    Max Hopp also qualified for the PDC World Darts Championship 2015 via the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit . The vacated starting place was awarded to the finalist Sascha Stein. After his 4-1 win over the Finn Kim Viljanen and the 3-1 first round win against the Englishman Stuart Kellett, this could only be stopped by the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen , who defeated him 4-1 in sets.
