The Super League Darts 2020 (officially: Hylo Care PDC Europe Super League Germany ) was a qualification tournament that was organized by PDC Europe for the eighth time. It was used to determine a German participant in the PDC World Darts Championship 2021 .

The tournament originally started on February 1st, 2020. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic , the concept was fundamentally changed and the first matchday that had already been played was canceled. Two players then withdrew their participation. The hygiene concept, which was only communicated at very short notice, was criticized in the media. From a sporting point of view, the non-transparent nomination of the wildcards, the group division and the timing of the event, which could effectively lead to a reduction in the number of German players at the World Darts Championship, were criticized.

The Super League Darts began with the new format on May 16, 2020 and ended with the play-offs on June 14, 2020.

Nico Kurz was able to successfully defend the title by beating Dragutin Horvat with 10: 9 legs in the final .

qualification

The 13 best players from the previous year took part in the Super League Darts. The remaining 3 places were awarded through a qualification tournament. Conditions for participation are 16 years of age, German citizenship and the payment of an entry fee of 30 €. The qualification tournament took place on November 16, 2019 in Hall 39 in Hildesheim .

After the restructuring, Martin Schindler and Robert Marijanović canceled their participation. Both players gave reasons for health concerns for themselves or for those around them. They were replaced by Michael Unterbuchner and Steffen Siepmann without qualification . The following players are part of the Super League Darts 2020:
