Zong Xiao Chen (born March 8, 1998 in Dandong ; Chinese  宗 笑 尘 , Pinyin Zōng Xiào Chén ) is a Chinese darts player .

Career

Zong Xiao Chen took part in two PDC Development Tour events for the first time in November 2016 . He also took part in the 2016 Junior World Championship and was able to advance to the second round. At the Shanghai Darts Masters 2017 he lost 6-0 to James Wade in the first round. Three months later he qualified as a Chinese representative for the 2018 World Cup , where he was eliminated in the preliminary round against New Zealander Bernie Smith . At the World Cup of Darts 2018 he failed together with Zhou Momo , only the second female World Cup participant, in the first round. As in the previous year, he was eliminated in the first round of the Shanghai Darts Masters 2018 without a leg win, this time his opponent was Michael Smith . At the World Cup of Darts 2019 he again represented China together with Liu Yuanjun . However, the duo again failed to reach the second round. With another win in the Chinese qualifier, he was also able to qualify for the 2020 World Cup. Despite a 2-0 lead, he lost his game in the first round against Australian Kyle Anderson .
