Stephen Brendan Lennon (born November 25, 1993 in Carlow ) is an Irish darts player with the Professional Darts Corporation .

Career

Lennon played county darts for Kilkenny and Kildare . Lennon has been a darts player since 2011. He won a tournament in the Ireland Players Championship for the first time, defeating Stephen Byrne 6-1 in the final. In 2016 he made it to the final of the Finnish champions against Dennis Nilsson.

Lennon entered the Professional Darts Corporation qualification school in 2017 and picked up a tour card on day three. Lennon made his World Championship debut in 2018 but lost 3-2 to Michael Smith in the first round. Lennon made it to the final of the Dutch Darts Masters 2018, where he lost to Michael van Gerwen . He reached the quarter-finals of the 2018 Players Championship Finals and lost again to van Gerwen. At the 2019 World Cup , he won 3-0 against James Bailey in the first round , but lost 3-2 to Alan Norris in the second round .

After the withdrawal of Gary Anderson from the Premier League in 2019 Lennon was selected as one of nine candidates to replace him. He lost the game against Peter Wright 5-7 in Dublin on matchday three .
