Corey Cadby (born March 18, 1995 in Devonport , Australia ) is an Australian darts player who is under contract with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) .

Career

2016

Cadby started his career by participating in events of the DPA ( Darts Players Australia ). He won a few tournaments there, which earned him a starting place for the 2017 PDC World Championship . He was also invited to the Sydney Darts Masters 2016 and the Perth Darts Masters 2016 .

At the Sydney Darts Masters he lost to Phil Taylor 6: 3 in the first round . A week later, however, Cadby drew attention when he met Taylor again in Round 1 of the Perth Darts Masters and this time beat him 6-2. He achieved a 3-dart average of 103.58 points. In the second round he played against Peter Wright . Cadby clearly lost 10-2 despite a 109 3-dart average. In November he went to the final of the PDC Youth World Championship against Berry van Peer . After his good performance at the Perth Darts Masters, Cadby confidently secured the title 6-2. In addition to prize money of £ 10,000, the win secured Cadby a place in the 2017 Grand Slam of Darts .

At the PDC World Championship 2017 he first had to compete in the preliminary round against Qiang Sun, whom he easily beat with 2-0 in sets and an average of 102 points. In the 1st main round Joe Cullen was his opponent. In one of the best games of the World Cup, in which both players achieved averages of 108 points at times, Cadby lost 3: 1.

2020

Due to persistent visa problems with the United Kingdom , Cadby withdrew its Tour Card early in 2020. With this he ends his career as a PDC professional for the time being.
