The Dutch Darts Masters was a ranking tournament in darts and was organized for the sixth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from September 1st to 3rd, 2017 . It was the ninth event of the European Darts Tour , which will be carried out as part of the Pro Tour 2017 . The venue for the first time was the Maastrichts Expositie en Congres Centrum in Maastricht .
The tournament victory was achieved for the fourth time in a row by the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen , who prevailed in the final with 6: 1 legs against the Englishman Steve Beaton .
format
The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in all rounds was a best of 11 legs . Each leg was played in double-out mode.
Prize money
The tournament totaled £ 135,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
