The Maastrichts Expositie en Congres Centrum ( MECC for short ) is an exhibition and congress center in Maastricht .

The building complex was built from 1961 to 1988, standardized and completed from 1998 to 2000 based on a design by architects Janneke Bierman and Hubert-Jan Henket and consists of various halls as well as offices and utility rooms. The two main halls A and B have an audience capacity of 1,700 and 2,500 seats. In addition to (international) congresses, exhibitions and trade fairs such as InterClassics, The European Fine Art Fair , Model United Nations , Domino Day and the Boekenfestijn, concerts by musicians such as David Bowie , Prince , Tina Turner , Joe Cocker and André Rieu take place here.
