The Gibraltar Darts Trophy is a ranking tournament in darts and was organized for the fifth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from May 12th to 14th, 2017 . It was the fifth event of the European Darts Tour , which is part of the Pro Tour 2017 . As in previous years, the venue was the Victoria Stadium .

The tournament victory was secured by the Englishman Michael Smith , who prevailed in the final with 6: 4 legs against the Austrian Mensur Suljović .

format

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in all rounds was a best of 11 legs . Each leg was played in double-out mode.

Prize money

The tournament totaled £ 135,000 in prize money, an increase of £ 20,000 over the previous year. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
