The Austrian Darts Open 2017 is a ranking tournament in darts and was organized for the sixth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from June 23 to 25, 2017 . It was the seventh event of the European Darts Tour , which will be carried out as part of the Pro Tour 2017 . As in the previous year, the venue was the Multiversum in Schwechat in Austria.

The tournament victory was secured by the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen , who prevailed in the final with 6: 5 legs against the Englishman Michael Smith .

format

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in all rounds was a best of 11 legs . Each leg was played in double-out mode.

Prize money

The tournament totaled £ 135,000 in prize money, an increase of £ 20,000 over the previous year. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
