The Austrian Darts Open 2019 was the fifth tournament of the European Darts Tour 2019 , which was held as part of the PDC Pro Tour 2019 . It was the seventh edition of the Austrian Darts Open . The venue was again the Styria Hall in Premstätten , a suburb of Graz .
Defending champion Jonny Clayton from Wales failed in his first round against Tytus Kanik from Poland . The Dutchman Michael van Gerwen won the title after beating the Englishman Ian White with 8: 7 legs in the final.

The tournament was played in a knockout system . The first five rounds were played in the best of 11 legs mode , in the semi-finals in the best of 13 legs mode and in the finals in the best of 15 legs mode .
