The European Darts Trophy 2017 is a ranking tournament in darts and was organized for the fifth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from October 13th to 15th, 2017 . It was the twelfth and last event of the European Darts Tour , which will be held as part of the Pro Tour 2017 . The venue for the first time was the locomotive hall in Göttingen .
The tournament victory was secured by the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen , who prevailed in the final with 6: 4 legs against the Englishman Rob Cross .
format
The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in all rounds was a best of 11 legs . Each leg was played in double-out mode.
Prize money
The tournament totaled £ 135,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
