The Communauté de communes Haute Sarthe Alpes Mancelles is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . It was founded on December 14, 2016 and currently comprises 38 communities. The administrative headquarters are in Fresnay-sur-Sarthe .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes des Alpes Mancelles ,
• Communauté de communes du Pays Belmontais and
• Communauté de communes des Portes du Maine Normand .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities Fresnay-sur-Sarthe , Coulombiers and Saint-Germain-sur-Sarthe became part of the Commune nouvelle Fresnay-sur-Sarthe . This reduced the number of member communities to 38.
