Moulins-le-Carbonnel is a French municipality with 697 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mamers and the canton of Sillé-le-Guillaume (until 2015: canton of Saint-Paterne ). The inhabitants are called Moulinois .

geography

Moulins-le-Carbonnel is about 41 kilometers north-north-west of Le Mans on the border with the Orne department . The Sarthe limits the municipality in the north. Moulins-le-Carbonnel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei in the north and north-west, Mieuxcé in the north and north-east, Héloup in the north-east, Gesnes-le-Gandelin in the east and south-east, Assé-le-Boisne in the south as well Saint-Léonard-des-Bois to the west and south-west.
