La Chapelle-Saint-Rémy belongs to the canton of La Ferté-Bernard (until 2015: Canton Tuffé ) and to the community association Communauté de communes du Pays de l'Huisne Sarthoise . The inhabitants are called Capellorémyens .
La Chapelle-Saint-Rémy is located about 27 kilometers east-northeast of Le Mans . La Chapelle-Saint-Rémy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Prévelles in the north, Tuffé Val de la Chéronne in the east, Beillé in the southeast, Connerré in the south, Lombron in the west and southwest and Saint-Célerin in the northwest.
The A11 autoroute runs through the south of the municipality .
