It belongs to the arrondissement of Mamers and the canton of Savigné-l'Évêque (until 2015: canton of Montfort-le-Gesnois ). The inhabitants are called Silléens .

Sillé-le-Philippe is located about 16 kilometers northeast of Le Mans on Vive Parence . Sillé-le-Philippe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beaufay in the north and north-west, Torcé-en-Vallée in the north and north-east, Lombron in the east, Saint-Corneille in the south and Savigné-l'Évêque in the west and south-west.
