Saint-Martin-de-Valamas is located in the north of the department at the confluence of the Eyrieux , Saliouse and Eysse . The municipality is part of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park (Parc naturel régional des Monts d'Ardèche) . Neighboring communities are Chanéac and Mariac . The next largest city is Aubenas , 35 kilometers south-east.
