history
The remains of a Roman aqueduct show that the community was settled in ancient times.
In the Middle Ages, the place was divided between the two co-administrators Soubise and Jovyac. In the 17th century, the municipality was included in the heritage of the Tournon province and then belonged to the kingdom of Montmorency, then to the Lévy-Ventadour and to the Rohan-Soubise. On July 25, 1925, the municipality of Arras was given the toponym sur-Rhône to make it easier to differentiate .

Culture and sights
Arras-sur-Rhône has remained a very rural place despite its location. Trout can still be fished in the Ozon River.
The ruins of the castle, where you can still see the division of the village in the Middle Ages, are particularly worth seeing. The white tower belonged to Count Soubise at that time, the brown tower, which disappeared in the 18th century, belonged to Jovyac.
Arras has an old town center as well as an old bridge over the Rhône and a church in Romanesque style, which houses an ancient landmark in the neighboring cemetery. It is particularly noticeable because of its historic capital and old inscriptions.
From the ancient amphitheater you have a view over the Rhône valley.
