Nozières is located in the eastern foothills of the Massif Central , north of Lamastre .
Population development
The population of Nozières reached a maximum of around 1500 inhabitants around 1880 and decreased almost continuously over the course of the 20th century to only around 250 inhabitants. Since 2000 the population has remained stable at this level with slight fluctuations.
