Transport links
The railway line Bordeaux - Paris runs through Gond-Pontouvre with the 60 meter long and 47 meter high viaduct Viaduc de Foulpougne built in 1852 over the Touvre. From Angoulême, the D910 departmental road leads north through Gond-Pontouvre. The northern municipal area is touched by Route nationale 10 , which leads to Poitiers .
