HVDC Qinghai – Tibet

The HVDC Qinghai-Tibet is a 1038 km long HVDC - overhead line from Golmud (Ge'ermu) in the Chinese province of Qinghai to Lhasa in Tibet . It has a transmission capacity of 1200 MW at an operating voltage of 500 kV. The HVDC Qinghai – Tibet reaches an altitude of 5300 meters at its highest point.
