Vouthon ( Occitan : Volton ) is a town and several places with 419 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the western French department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The inhabitants are called Vouthonais .

Vouthon is about 19 kilometers east of Angoulême . Vouthon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Sornin in the north, Montbron in the east, Marthon in the south, Saint-Germain-de-Montbron in the south-west and Moulins-sur-Tardoire with Vilhonneur in the west and north-west.
