Médillac is located in the south of the historical Angoumois province , about 47 kilometers south-southwest of Angoulême . Médillac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rioux-Martin in the north and north-west, Saint-Avit in the north-east, Bazac in the east, Parcoul-Chenaud in the east and south-east, Saint-Aigulin in the south and south-west and La Genétouze in the west.
