Médillac is a French municipality with 158 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Angoulême , the canton Tude-et-Lavalette and the municipality association Lavalette Tude Dronne, founded in 2017 . The inhabitants are called Médillacais .
geography
Médillac is located in the south of the historical Angoumois province , about 47 kilometers south-southwest of Angoulême . Médillac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rioux-Martin in the north and north-west, Saint-Avit in the north-east, Bazac in the east, Parcoul-Chenaud in the east and south-east, Saint-Aigulin in the south and south-west and La Genétouze in the west.
