Saint-Quentin-de-Chalais is located in the south of the historic province of Angoumois , about 48 kilometers south-southwest of Angoulême . Saint-Quentin-de-Chalais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Orival in the north, Rouffiac in the northeast, Les Essards in the east, Parcoul-Chenaud in the south, Bazac in the southwest, Saint-Avit in the west and Chalais in the northwest.
