Salles-Lavalette is located in the south of the historic province of Angoumois , about 35 kilometers south-southeast of Angoulême on the Lizonne . Salles-Lavalette is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vaux-Lavalette in the north, Vendoire in the northeast, Nanteuil-Auriac-de-Bourzac in the east, Palluaud and Montignac-le-Coq in the south, Juignac in the west and southwest and Montmoreau in the west and northwest.
