The community is located around eleven kilometers southwest of Bordeaux and 56 kilometers northeast of Biarritz in the Forêt des Landes . Neighboring communities are:

The municipality is drained by the Ruisseau de la Palue brook and its tributaries to the Atlantic coast ( Bay of Biscay ), which is only about 20 kilometers away. Castets is on the A63 autoroute that runs from Bordeaux via Biarritz to the border with Spain . The place is bypassed by the motorway in the east.
