Bonnegarde ( Occitan Bona Guarda ) is a French commune in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). The municipality is located in the south of the department and has 274 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and belongs to the canton of Coteau de Chalosse (until 2015 Amou ) within the Dax arrondissement .

Bonnegarde is about 34 kilometers east-southeast of Dax on the Luy de Béarn . Bonnegarde is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Amou in the north and west, Nassiet in the north and north-east, Marpaps in the east, Sault-de-Navailles in the east and south-east, Sallespisse in the south and Bonnut in the west and south-west.

The Bonnegarde Bastide was founded in 1283. The founding is attributed to Edward I of England.
