Téthieu (until 1995: Thétieu , Occitan : Tetiu ) is a French municipality with 759 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). Téthieu belongs to the Arrondissement of Dax and the canton of Dax-1 (until 2015: canton of Dax-Nord ).
geography
Téthieu is about eight kilometers northeast of Dax on the Adour River , which borders the municipality in the south and west. Téthieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pontonx-sur-l'Adour in the north, Préchacq-les-Bains in the east, Goos in the east and south-east, Hinx in the south, Candresse in the south-west and Saint-Vincent-de-Paul in the west.
