Carcen-Ponson ( Occitan : Carcen e Ponson ) is a French commune with 634 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Landes department of the Aquitaine region . It belongs to the Arrondissement Dax and to the cantons of Pays Morcenais Tarusate (until 2015: Canton Tartas-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Carcenais .

Carcen-Ponson is located about 27 kilometers northeast of Dax and about 24 kilometers west of Mont-de-Marsan . Carcen-Ponson is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beylongue in the north, Saint-Yaguen in the east and north-east, Carcarès-Sainte-Croix in the east and south-east, Tartas in the south and south-east, Bégaar in the south and south-west, Lesgor in the west and south-west and Rion- des-Landes to the west and northwest.
