Azur is a French commune in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The current 842 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) are called Azurien (ne) s.
geography
Azur is located northwest of the Étang de Soustons (pond of Soustons) 6 kilometers northwest of Soustons and 9 kilometers east of Moliets-et-Maa between the state forest Forêt Domaniale de vielle-Saint-Girons and the communal forest Forêt communale de Soustons in the Forêt des Landes .

Attractions
- The Étang de Soustons is part of the Site Inscrit (landscape monuments).
- The Maison de Nogaro (House of Nogaro) has been registered in the supplementary directory of Monuments historiques since 1994 . It is a farm that was built in the 19th century.
economy
One of the main industries in Azur is forestry . There is a sawmill and fish farm on site. Mainly asparagus and maize are cultivated.
