Léon is a French commune with 1,940 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .
The village lives mainly from tourism , there is a tourist information center and some typical tourist destinations. It is close to the Atlantic Ocean and a lake (Étang de Léon), where various sports activities can be practiced. There is a daily market in the summer months.
