The Habaş Group ( Turkish Habaş Guruba ) is a Turkish conglomerate . It produces industrial gases , steel and electricity , trades in LPG , LNG and CNG and operates several seaports. When it comes to steel production, Habaş ranks second after Erdemir .
history
In 1956, Hamdi Başaran founded a company for the production of liquid oxygen in the Topkapı district of Istanbul . In 1967 the production of liquid nitrogen , oxygen and argon began .
In 1987 Habaş got into steel production . In 1997, Anadolubank was acquired when it was privatized.
