Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fab. TAŞ. ( Erdemir ) is a Turkish steel company based in Zonguldak . The company was founded in 1965. The name translates as "Ereğli Iron and Steel Works".

In 2001 almost 3 million tons of crude steel were produced. That was the 12th place among the largest crude steel producers in Europe.

In February 2002 the company acquired the state long steel producer İSDEMIR with a crude steel capacity of 2.2 million tons. This production capacity is the largest iron and steel producer in the country and Erdemir is the only integrated flat steel producer in Turkey.

In 2005, the Oyak Group took over the majority of the company through its subsidiary Ataer Holding. Today (2017) the company still holds 49.29% of Erdemir.

Expansion and modernization were completed in February 2008. In 2017, a total of 8.96 million tons of steel were produced.
