Labenne ( Occitan : La Vena ) is a French municipality with 6616 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Labenne belongs to the Arrondissement Dax and the canton Pays Tyrossais . The inhabitants are called Labennais (es) .

geography

The community is located directly on the Atlantic coast . The Boudigau and Anguillère rivers flow through the municipality . Labenne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Capbreton in the north, Bénesse-Maremne in the northeast, Orx in the east, Saint-André-de-Seignanx and Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx in the southeast and Ondres in the south.

The A63 autoroute runs through the municipality . The station is on the Bordeaux – Irun railway line .
