Brassempouy ( Occitan Brassempoi ) is a French commune in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). The municipality is located in the south of the department and has 267 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and belongs to the canton of Coteau de Chalosse (until 2015 Amou ) within the arrondissement of Dax .

geography

Brassempouy is located about 28 kilometers east-southeast of Dax . The Luy limits the community in the southwest. Brassempouy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Cricq-Chalosse in the north and northeast, Cazalis in the east, Nassiet in the south and southeast, Amou in the southwest, Gaujacq in the west and Bergouey in the northwest.
