Heugas ( Occitan : Heugars ) is a French municipality with 1343 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Heugas is part of the Dax arrondissement and the Dax-2 canton (until 2015: Dax-Sud canton ).
geography
Heugas is located about six kilometers south-southwest of Dax in the Marensin countryside . The Luy limits the community in the northwest. Heugas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Oeyreluy in the north, Saint-Pandelon in the northeast, Bénesse-lès-Dax in the east, Gaas in the southeast, Cagnotte in the south, Saint-Lon-les-Mines in the southwest, Siest in the west and Tercis-les- Bains in the northwest.
