Gamarde-les-Bains is a French commune with 1,319 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Landes department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dax and the canton of Coteau de Chalosse (until 2015: canton of Montfort-en-Chalosse ). The residents call themselves Gamardais .

Gamarde-les-Bains is located in the Marensin landscape on the edge of the vast Landes de Gascogne , the largest forest area in Western Europe, about 14 kilometers east-northeast of Dax . Gamarde-les-Bains is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Louer and Cassen in the north, Saint-Geours-d'Auribat in the north and northeast, Poyanne in the east and northeast, Nousse in the east, Montfort-en-Chalosse in the east and southeast, Poyartin in the South, Hinx in the southwest, Goos in the west and Préchacq-les-Bains in the northwest.
