Moliets-et-Maa (partly also in the spelling -Maâ) is a French commune with 1170 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) on 27.7 km². It is located near the Atlantic coast and belongs to Arrondissement Dax in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .
Moliets-et-Maa is divided into two parts: the old town center is about three kilometers inland, embedded in the pine forests typical of the region . Moliets-Plage, the tourist center of the town, is located directly on the coast; it is popular with beach vacationers and especially windsurfers and surfers . There are two campsites and several bungalow complexes in Moliets-Plage . In addition to the wide and fine sandy beach, which is freely accessible everywhere, there is a golf course with a par 72 18-hole course and a par 31 9-hole course. There are also several tennis courts, beach volleyball courts and a skate box .
