Josse ( Occitan : Jossa ) is a French municipality with 850 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Josse belongs to the Arrondissement of Dax and the Canton of Pays Tyrossais (until 2015: Canton of Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse ).

geography

Josse is located about 15 kilometers southwest of Dax on the Adour , which forms the eastern municipal border. Josse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Geours-de-Maremne in the north, Orist in the east, Pey in the south and south-east, Saint-Jean-de-Marsacq in the south and south-west and Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse in the west.
