Calvin Bassey Ughelumba (born December 31, 1999 in Italy ) is an English football player of Nigerian origin who is under contract with the Glasgow Rangers .

Career

Calvin Bassey was born in Italy in 1999 to Nigerian parents. Between 2014 and 2015 he played at the CrownPro Elite Football Academy. After successful trial training, he moved to Leicester City Youth Academy at the age of 15 . For the club, he played in the club's various youth teams until 2020, most recently in the U23. In July 2020 he moved to the Glasgow Rangers in Scotland. A month later he made his professional debut for the Rangers after he was substituted on in the league game of the Scottish Premiership against FC St. Mirren for Borna Barišić .
